Montecucco Rosso D.O.C., Poggio Trevvalle:
 
A round, soft and pleasing wine. It is made from Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes that grow in the vines planted on the north facing side of Poggio Trevvalle, where the soil is sandy with clay banks. It is a well structured and full bodied wine, with aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant and balsamic notes that lead into a long, sweet and spicy finish.

Grape variety: 60% Sangiovese, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot
Date of harvest: Merlot – first week of September; Sangiovese – third week of September; Cabernet – last week of September
Fermentation: in stainless steel tanks with temperature control
Malolactic: in new 225 and 500 lt. barriques (Allier oak) for 12 months
Refining: in new 225 and 500 lt. barriques (Allier oak) for 12 months
Bottling: the wine rest at least 6 months in bottle before the sale
Alcohol: 13,5 – 14,5
